    Highly sensitive differential scanning calorimeter with a new sensor and new furnace

    The Hitachi DSC7000X High-Sensitivity Differential Scanning Calorimeter is equipped with the new technology which incorporates a new sensor and new furnace. The new sensor utilizes multiple thermocouples and has tripled sensor performance compared wth our previous models. The new furnace, with a three-layer insulation wall and the optimized heating and cooling structure, minimizes the influence of baseline fluctuation, and has improved the DSC sensitivity and baseline reproducibility.

    Features

    1. High Sensitivity, Superior Baseline Stability, and Improved Repeatability

    The DSC7000X incorporates a new sensor which utilizes multiple thermocouples, and has tripled the sensitivity compared with our previous models. It is also equipped with a new furnace which has a three-layer insulation wall and an optimized heating and cooling structure, minimizing the influence of baseline fluctuation. These improvements provide world-leading performance in DSC sensitivity of less than 0.1µW (RMS noise less than 0.05µW) and baseline repeatability of ±5μW.

    2. Improved Temperature Control Performance

    The new furnace has expanded the temperature range, when the electrical cooling unit is in use, to -80~500°C. Cooling control is managed at 10°C/min down to -50°C linearly. The automatic LN2 gas cooling unit improves the cooling efficiency and reduces the amount of LN2 usage.

    3. Easy Cooling Unit Replacement

    The electrical cooling unit and automatic LN2 gas cooling unit can be replaced easily by the users according to the user's desired temperature range and measurement purposes.

    4. Excellent Expandability and Options

    The autosampler can easily be installed. The combination of the autosampler and the built-in mass flow controller provide highly reliable routine measurements. By adding the UV irradiation unit, photochemical reaction measurement can be performed. The sample observation option unit is also available.
