The ANKOM DELTA takes fiber testing to the next level of automation. It is capable of Acid Detergent, Neutral Detergent, and Crude Fiber analysis, all following the official AOCS Ba 6a-05 method.

An internal pumping system automatically delivers chemicals, so you can simply place any chemical container near the system, no more lifting heavy containers by hand. A simple computer interface makes it easy to switch between test methods and monitor the process as it runs.

Is the ANKOM system an approved method? 

The ANKOM fiber systems were designed around the industry standard Van Soest methods for ADF and NDF. Crude Fiber is an AOCS method (Ba 6a-05). The ANKOM fiber results are recognized worldwide.

What is the difference between the FOSS system and ANKOM system?

One ANKOM system can run 24 samples at a time or 144 ADF/day, 120 NDF/day, 96 Crude Fiber/day. Several FOSS units would have to be purchased to achieve similar volumes, adding costs and taking up valuable counter space. The way the FOSS system handles the solubilization of the samples and filtering also creates issues with technician to technician variability. The ANKOM system eliminates this variability.

How does the ANKOM Filter Bag Technology compare to Gerhardt's FibreBags?

ANKOM Technology developed Filter Bag Technology (FBT) in the early 90's and has become the benchmark for filtration in fiber analysis. As a result, ANKOM FBT produces consistent filtration quality at lower cost. The FiberThermTM system reuires a more costly filter bag and glass insert, increasing cost per assay as well as time spent on prep and clean up.

Do Filter Bags increase my cost per assay?

ANKOM's Filter Bags are less expensive when you consider that glass crucibles are generally used less than fifty times each due to breakage and/or loss. Fritted glass crucibles must be cleaned, acid washed and dried after each use, according to the method. This adds material, time and labor cost. With low purchase costs and no clean-up required, filter bags end up being less expensive.
